Headteacher Welcome
Welcome to our St John's school community. It is a real privilege to serve as Headteacher and I am delighted to welcome you to our website.
Our school is inspired by the values of Catholic Social Teaching, which guide everything we do. These values emphasise the dignity and worth of every person, the importance of kindness, fairness and responsibility and the belief that we are strongest when we care for one another. While our faith shapes our identity, we warmly welcome families of all backgrounds and beliefs.
We are committed to ensuring that every child feels safe, valued and included. Creating a strong sense of belonging is central to our work, and we strive to support each child to grow academically, personally and socially. Our curriculum encourages curiosity, respect and a sense of responsibility towards others, helping children to understand their role in building a just and caring world.
High expectations and inclusive practice sit at the heart of school life. We recognise that every child is unique and deserving of both support and challenge and we work closely with families to ensure all pupils are able to flourish. Pastoral care and wellbeing are key priorities, enabling children to develop confidence, resilience and compassion.
Partnership with parents, carers and the wider community is essential to our success. By working together, we model the values of respect, service and shared responsibility that underpin Catholic Social Teaching and prepare our children for life beyond school.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. I warmly invite you to explore further, visit our school in action and become part of our welcoming and inclusive community.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Clare Sweeney-Williams
